2025 CrossFit Games Season
Masters 55+ Important Dates and Information
- Registration: Jan 15 Open Registration begins - US $20 registration fee
- Divisions: An athletes competitive division will be assigned based on age as of July 15th and gender.
- Age 55-59: born on or after 7/15/65 and on or before 7/14/70
- Age 60-64: born on or after 7/15/60 and on or before 7/14/65
- Age 65-69: born on or after 7/15/55 and on or before 7/14/60
- Age 70+: born on or before 7/14/55
- Age 70+ is now an official age division
- Age falsification will result in a one year ban
- CrossFit Open: Feb 27th to March 17th - 2025
- Three weeks, three workouts. Workouts are released Thursdays at 3pm EST (12pm PST) and scores (and videos) are due by Monday 8pm EST (5pm PST)
- Schedule
- 25.1: Feb 27th to Mar 3rd
- 25.2: Mar 6th to March 10th
- 25.3: Mar13th to Mar 17th
- Semifinals qualification: Athletes placing in the top 2% of the Open participants in their division (minimum 200 participants will advance to semifinals. There will not be any backfilling of those that decline their invite
- Age-Group In-affiliate Semifinals: April 3-6 (Thursday through Monday)
- Athletes who qualify for semifinals will receive an invitation from CrossFit (after Open leaderboard finalization)
- Registration Fee: $100
- All semifinal workouts must be completed at a CrossFit affiliate in good standing. Affiliates must have a head judge responsible for the affiliate and floor judge(s) that judge the athlete directly.
- Videos
- All score submissions will required a video of the workout. You will not be able to submit a score without a video.
- All videos must be hosted on YouTube platform as publicly viewable. No other platforms or means of video submission are allowed.
- Athlete is solely responsible for ensuring the video is viewable. If the video is not viewable due to being marked private, blocked due to copyright or any other issue could receive a score of 0 for that workout.
- Leaderboard Finalization: The age-group leaderboard will be final no later than April 21, 2025.
- Finals Qualification: Athletes advancing to the Legend CrossFit Games final will be as follows
- Masters 55-59: Top 30 men and women
- Masters 60-64: Top 20 men and women
- Masters 65-69: Top 20 men and women
- Masters 70+: Top 10 men and women
- In 2024, each 55+ division qualified 200 athletes, meaning each division had less than 10,000 registrations (enough to trigger the 2% rule). Mens 55-59 had the largest registrations at 5858 athletes
- 2025 Masters CrossFit Games by Legends: Aug 21-24
- Location: Columbus Ohio
- Registration: Will receive an email containing information on how to register for the CrossFit games. If an athlete declines their invitation, the spot will be backfilled to the next eligible athlete. No more than three athletes outside of a qualification spot would be eligible for a backfill position
- Registration Fee: US $400
- Required Attire/Gear: Legends Championship will announce any required attire/gear policies
